SmartFares allows travelers to use a coupon code upon checking out. After you’ve selected your ideal flight, hotel, or care rental, you’ll fill out the required checkout information. The fourth section, labeled Price Detail, will ask “Have a coupon code?” If you do, click on this link. It will instantly turn into a textbox where you can type or copy and paste your coupon code, and then you’ll type “Enter” to apply it to your total amount. You should see the discount show up in red in the price summary. You can move on to enter in your billing information and complete the purchase when you’re finished.
SmartFares' Lowest Price Guarantee promises that they'll either rearrange your flight or refund you the difference if you find a lower rate within 24 hours of booking the flight. This offer is only valid for flights with the exact same itinerary, cabin, passengers, and fare restrictions. The lower price must be offered through a full-service travel website or airline website and be at least $10 lower than the airfare purchased within 24 hours at SmartFares. The Lowest Price Guarantee only applies to total airfare, not differences based on service, booking, processing, shipping, paper-ticket, and other fees associated with airline tickets. To claim a refund, contact SmartFares' support center.
If the airline you select doesn't offer e-tickets, you'll be offered a paper ticket by SmartFares and be notified about this within 24 hours of your booking. The tickets will be shipped to your billing address using FedEx’s Second-Day Delivery, and they'll arrive within 2 business days. SmartFares cannot ship physical tickets outside of the U.S. and Canada.
SmartFares will send customers a booking reference code after the online request has been processed. You can use this 6-character code to keep tabs on the progress of your request. If your code is made up of only letters, you’ll visit http://www.virtuallythere.com, and if your code has both letters and numbers you’ll visit http://www.checkmytrip.com. On these sites, you can enter your code to view what’s going on with your reservation. Once the airline has fully confirmed and issued your tickets, you’ll receive a confirmation email.
